On 20 August 2025,China National Aviation Fuel Group Limited (“CNAF”) Southern Storage and Transportation Company Limited (“SSTC”) and CIMC Green Energy Low Carbon Technology (Guangdong) Co., Ltd. ("CIMC Green Energy"), a subsidiary of CIMC ENRIC, signed a cooperation framework agreement. The two parties will jointly build South China‘s first full-chain green methanol supply network in Zhanjiang, covering aspects of production, warehousing, customs declaration, delivery, transportation, and pickup etc., aiming to create a green energy demonstration base. This cooperation will not only be a strategic choice for the two enterprises to complement each other's strengths and seek common development but also an important practice to actively respond to the national "dual carbon" strategy and promote the green and low-carbon transformation of the energy industry, injecting new momentum into the construction of a clean, safe, and efficient modern energy system.
Mr. Li Dong, General Manager of CIMC Green Energy and Mr. Zheng Changman, General Manager of CNAF SSTCC signed the agreement on behalf of both parties. Mr. Li Dong, General Manager of CIMC Green Energy highly recognized the strategic alignment and development vision between the two sides. He stated that the two parties would jointly build a sound green methanol supply chain network and provide practical green energy solutions for the decarbonization of the shipping industry.
Mr. Zheng Changman, General Manager of CNAF SSTC pointed out that as an innovative leader and a full-industrial-chain layout enterprise in the green energy field, CIMC Green Energy possessed core competitiveness in all links of green energy in terms of "production, storage, transportation, refueling and application". CNAF SSTC has strived to build a benchmark enterprise in petrochemical storage in the western Guangdong region, boasting strong infrastructure and a strict safety management system. He emphasized that today's cooperation represented a perfect connection between the upper and lower reaches of the industrial chain and a strategic complementation of advantageous resources, which would surely unleash the synergistic effect of "1+1 being far greater than 2". Mr. Zheng Changman further stressed that this cooperation also marked CNAF SSTC's strategic expansion of its business from traditional energy storage and transportation to the new field of green and low-carbon development, which was an important milestone in the enterprise's development history.
Looking ahead, taking the signing of this agreement as a starting point, both parties will continue to deepen the level of cooperation, expand the boundaries of cooperation, actively explore business model innovation and the joint development of industry standards in the green energy field, and promote the green fuel storage and transportation industry to enter a new stage of large-scale, standardized and high-quality development, thereby making greater contributions to the green transformation of China's energy system.
